Scheherazade was a young woman who was to marry a King. The king whom had previously had one wife that was unfaithful, was unable to trust any woman after that. He had married several young woman but because of his lack of trust he would dispose of his new wife after their wedding night.
Scheherazade who was a very bright young woman started telling the King a compelling story at the night of their wedding. At dawn she hadn't yet finished her story since she had carefully woven in and started another story. The king asked her to continue, but Scheherazade said that there was not time for that, but she could continue the following night if the King so wished. The King was curious to hear the whole story so he let Scheherazade live another night. Each night she would continue her story and again the King would spare her Life one more night so that she could finish her story.
And so the King kept Scheherazade alive day by day, as he eagerly anticipated the finishing of the previous night's story. At the end of 1,001 nights, and 1,000 stories, Scheherazade told the king that she had no more tales to tell him. During these 1,001 nights, the king had fallen in love with Scheherazade. He spared her life, and made her his Queen.
